How to make things a little more interesting!! I am learning to create an interesting presentation How to make things a little more interesting!! Click here to go to next slide >>>

Text… WordArt Size Font Colour To write text you need to click on one of these boxes from the bottom of the screen… Regular text WordArt Once you have written your text you can change it in several ways… You can choose a style, then type your text. This is good for page headings! Size Font Bold, Italics or Underlined Colour There is so much you can do…just experiment and see what you can come up with!

For example, if I search for ‘dog’ I get these pictures… Inserting pictures is simple! On the toolbar click ‘insert’, then scroll down to ‘picture’ You can choose from ‘clipart ’ or ‘from file ’ On the right you can search for a picture For example, if I search for ‘dog’ I get these pictures… Here you can insert pictures that you have saved on the computer, such as photos or pictures from the internet

Here there are LOADS of things you can change! Shapes, background and colours… You can make different shapes by clicking on ‘autoshapes’ below and choosing the shape you want You can change the colour of lots of things, including text, backgrounds and shapes Right-click on the shape you wish to change the colour of and click ‘format autoshape’ Here there are LOADS of things you can change!

Animation… Animating words is really fun! You can animate almost everything in PowerPoint! Once you have something on the page right-click it and select ‘custom animation’ On the right of the page you can then choose ‘add effect’ and select from a whole range of different animations! Just look at what you could do… Animating words is really fun!

Sounds are great for making things a little bit more fun! Sounds are almost the same as pictures… Select ‘insert’ from above, then choose ‘movies and sounds’ and ‘sound from file’ or ‘sound from clip organiser’ Here you can choose any sound effects you have on your computer If you want to make a sound play when you click on something,, right-click on the object then choose ‘action settings’ Sounds are great for making things a little bit more fun! Click ‘play sound’ and choose a sound effect Try clicking on the words on this page!

On here you can choose sounds for the animations! There is one more cool thing you can do with sounds… Making the object wooooosh as it comes onto the screen (or any other sound effect!) Once you have animated an object click on the little arrow and choose ‘effect options’ On here you can choose sounds for the animations!

Buttons Using buttons is a fantastic way of bringing together a presentation and making it more interactive! They can be used to make talking books, as well as fun games and cool presentations First things first… choose what your button will be This can be anything on the slide; a shape, picture, or even some text They are so easy to make as well!! Right-click the object and select ‘hyperlink’ from the bottom It should look like this:

Buttons There are two things you can choose to link the button to… A file, such as a video or sound clip or a web page, such as a link to a Youtube video or You can link to other slides in a presentation This is good if you want the viewer to choose what they see It could work like this in a choose-your-own-ending story: Click here if you want to see the frog attempt to cross the busy road or Click here if you want to see the frog try to bake a lemon meringue pie
