You may apply during the 6th year for leave in the 7th year. If you have had a leave since Spring 2011 you are not eligible to apply in Fall 2016. Evaluation Process Committee meets to discuss all applications. Each Committee member selects or is assigned applications nearest their expertise and becomes the “expert” on each assigned application. Applications are presented in a round-table discussion. If necessary, questions may be asked of the applicant.

Evaluation Process Everything matters! A well-written application is important…a poorly written application is not well received. The committee considers the appropriateness of the project to the applicant’s area of expertise. All members evaluate all applications. The high and low score for each applicant are dropped. Scores are compiled and sent to Provost who makes the ultimate decision.

Deadline All materials must be received in the Faculty Senate Office by noon on October 6.

Follow-up Report To be completed when you’re back from leave. Is included when applying for another sabbatical. Must include the original request a 2 – 3 page narrative addressing what you accomplished and explaining discrepancies.
