CanTeen We’re here for 12-25 year olds dealing with: Having cancer themselves A parent, brother or sister being diagnosed with cancer The death of a parent, brother or sister We provide: Face to face and online counselling Support groups CAMPS! The reason I’m here

CanTeen Camps 21,000 young people have a parent diagnosed with cancer 1,000 young people find out their brother or sister has cancer

Cancer can be Traumatic Direct threat to life, invasive treatments Death of parent, death of sibling PTSD rates between 5 and 16% of cancer survivors (Stein, 2008). Studies have found significant levels of posttraumatic stress symptoms among siblings and offspring(Aldefer, Labay & Kazak, 2003; Boelen & Spuij, 2013).
