Studying Verses 1-7 QA Vs 1 – 3: Importance of the Arabic Language, Importance of learning from stories Why are stories a good way to learn? Importance of the Arabic Language It is the language of the Arabs – to whom the Holy Prophet (S) had been sent. The Arabic language is very rich with vocabulary, idioms, verses and prose. It can convey the message more precisely than any other language. Importance of Learning from Stories: Stories can show practical examples from history. Learning about other peoples lives and experience brings knowledge into a reality. Stories are interesting and a good way of attracting attention of people. People are more eager to learn from stories and profound lessons can be learnt. People love and can understand stories irrespective of their level of intellect, education, background . . . etc.
Studying Verses 1-7 QA Vs 4 – 5: Prophet Yusuf (as) sees a dream and recounts it to this father Prophet Ya`qub (as). Who tells Prophet Yusuf (as) to keep this dream to himself in case his brothers grow jealous and devise a plan against him. NB. Shows his Prophethood – as Prophet’s dreams are Wahy – therefore reliable, this dream predicted P. Yusuf’s future Discussion Point: This verse tells us an important lesson that one shouldn’t disclose everything that happens in one’s life. Even close friends should not know everything, as it can be harmful sometimes. Precaution and prevention is always better.
