DD13 Engine lights and Regen System

REGEN Instructions on back of driver side visor

Notification, Description and Driver Action Card Every 2015 and newer truck should have a notification card like this The card gives detailed description and action required for each light. If your truck does NOT have one, please notify your manager.

DD13 Detroit Engine Dash Lights High Exhaust Temp Light: Get tractor up to highway speed A.S.A.P. to increase air flow. Pulling over will only prolong the light since you do not have air flow to help cool it DPF Regen Lamp: Drive the tractor at highway speed and let it do an auto regen of the DPF. We do not need to pull over and do a parked regen. The system will take care of it as long as we keep the temperature up. “Drive it like you stole it”. Doesn’t hurt to drop a gear if the temp does not stay up. Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL): This is an indicator light, not a warning or shut down light. Can be driven to end of shift. No repairs are needed unless the light is on after the 3rd shift of driving. It could be for something as simple as a dash light bulb being burnt out but not an out of service item.
