Realistic and Manageable Assessment must be realistic and manageable It is not necessary or possible to assess everything every year Accumulate evidence over time Build a “weight” of evidence Leads to “Program Review”

CBU What is Program Review? A periodic, detailed, and documented analysis of an entire program and all of its academic components A comprehensive review of all the previous years’ assessment A comparative curriculum review A comparative “industry standards” review A review of “capacity” data A visit and review done by an expert in the field A final report that addresses the quality and efficacy of the program based on the previous information CBU - OIRPA

Program Review Elements CBU Program Review Elements Mission Student and Constituent Feedback Faculty Characteristics and Qualifications Program Public Transparency Student Enrollment and Demographics Resources and Institutional Capacities Class Size and Academic Opportunities Outside Reviewer Report Curriculum Summary and Conclusions Assessing Student Learning Action Plan Faith Integration *Tie to external accrediting body, if applicable.
