Starter Activity – QUIZ Question 1: What language is the most spoken in the world? A: English B: Chinese C: Spanish  

Question 2: What are the top three languages spoken in New Zealand English, Te Reo Maori and French English, Te Reo Maori and Chinese English Te Reo Maori and Spanish

Question 3: What country is New Zealand’s largest trade partner? Australia England China

Answers: 1. What language is the most spoken in the world? Answer - B - Chinese There is 1.2 billion speakers of Chinese languages. Spanish is placed second with 400 million speakers and in third place is English with 360 million speakers worldwide.

Answers: 2. What are the top three languages spoken in NZ B. English, Te Reo Maori and Chinese In New Zealand English is the most spoken language followed by, Te Reo Maori and the Chinese.
