Support Available Financial support comes in various forms: Tuition Fee Loan (Student Loan) Maintenance Loan (Student Loan) Derby+ Bursary (University of Derby) NSP will be withdrawn after 2014/15

Payment of fees You can apply for a Tuition Fee Loan for the full amount of your annual tuition fee If you take this loan, you will not need to pay your course fees upfront This is non-income assessed If you don’t apply for a Tuition Fee Loan you will need to pay your tuition fees annually

Derby+ Bursary Provides targeted financial assistance with the costs of higher education to all Full Time Undergraduate students Students can receive up to £1,000 per academic year of study

Postgraduate Loans You can get up to £10,280 for your whole course. If you’re studying for 2, 3 or 4 academic years, the loan will be divided equally across each year of your course. The loan is paid directly to you as a contribution towards your course and living costs. The loan isn’t based on your household income.

Postgraduate Loans You’ll only start repaying when your income is over £21,000 per year. You’ll pay back 6% of your income over the minimum amount (‘threshold’). Example You earn £30,000 a year (gross). This is £9,000 over the annual threshold. You’ll repay £45 each month.
