Office of the Dean of Students Mission The Office of the Dean of Students promotes a holistic learning experience through programs and services that develop students intellectually, socially, and ethically. Main Office A place to get answers to questions, learn about resources, and receive support. Help with concerns (personal, financial, academic, etc.) Connect students, faculty, and staff to campus/community resources Provide support and advocacy Absence notifications On Call Team for after hours emergencies No scheduled appointment necessary, just visit SCHL 207 for a drop-in meeting. SAC serves as a centralized resource for connecting students with the appropriate university and community programs, offices, and individuals. SAC serves as the portal through which students access the full array of services offered by the University.   SAC provides guidance, advice, and support to navigate the sometimes complex layers of the University. Based on our student development experience and our knowledge of the University, it is our primary mission to provide support, advocacy and resources for students as they work to achieve their academic, professional and personal goals. SAC staff members work to address students’ needs through a variety of interventions, as well as through outreach, referrals, and follow-up services. SAC also provides support, general information and outreach to faculty, staff and the Purdue community.

Mental Wellness Task Force 5 key messages   Problem Solving:   Everyone has challenges and experiences obstacles.  Knowing when to ask for help is key! Failure:    Failure is an important part of learning and success.  Core Values:   College life requires clarifying values and adapting to a new normal.  Coping with stress:   Stress is natural and can become overwhelming.  Building resiliency to cope with stress means finding healthy ways to de-stress.
