New Caledonia Language Lessons Students will participate in 3 hours of French lessons (3 x 1 Hour sessions) To expose our students to the richness of the French and Melanesian traditions and culture. To give our students the challenge of organising themselves and experiencing overseas travel. To enhance students’ communication skills in French through experience with the general public.  Students will learn conversational French, then practise in-situ

Day 1 Brisbane – Noumea Saturday 16 September, 2017 Assemble at Brisbane International Airport Coach transfer to Le Pacifique Hotel from Tontouta Airport

Day 2 Sunday 17 September, 2017 Buffet breakfast at the hotel. A visit to the local market in Noumea, beautiful craft, fish market and fruit and vegetables Dinner –La Terrasse Restaurant at Hilton Restaurant

G.E.T Educational Tours Spending money Students will need to take enough spending money to cover meals and snacks not already covered in the itinerary along with any personal expenses & souvenirs Best to take money in a couple of different forms – some local currency in cash, debit card or travel money card such as the Travelex Cash Passport

G.E.T Educational Tours Baggage and packing Max check in luggage weight 20kg Max carry on luggage weight 7 kg – restrictions to the carry on of liquids, sharps and flammable items All Students must be able to manage their own bags – no porters have been included in this cost.

Helpful Tips PHONING HOME Phone numbers of your hotel are provided on your travel itinerary. You can purchase a Roaming Sim card or use the Wifi at the hotels to skype or email home. MONEY – ATM machines are available in many locations and there is one very close to hotel Le Pacifique. Students will need to take enough spending money to cover meals and snacks not already covered in the itinerary along with any personal expenses and souvenirs. MEALS – Le Pacifique hotel provides a buffet breakfast daily. Lunches can be bought at local cafes, banquettes etc. Dinner will be a three course meal at a Restaurant.

Helpful Tips WASHING – Students can do hand washing while touring. SAFETY –Its safe to carry cash, however maybe in a money belt. Always still be cautions and not leave your personal belongings unattended. HAND LUGGAGE Max carry on luggage weight 7 kg – restrictions to the carry on of liquids, sharps, scissors, nail files and flammable items. No liquids on board unless they are 100 mls or less in a plastic zip lock bag.
