Patient Transport Advice Service Local Community Transport contact point will provide info, advice and help book alternative transport at patient’s cost Provider Trusts – including A&E NOT ELIGIBLE Inform requester to make contact with local CT scheme Patient direct requests Other requests (eg out of area) Patient Transport Advice Service (PTAS) 0700 – 1800 Monday to Friday Assesses eligibility for transport and books appropriate journeys through PTAS or other provider on DPS Health care professional requests GP requests Provider Trusts renal/oncology units ELIGIBLE Book journey via interface with PTAS bespoke booking system PTAS Provider: FIRST CARE (0700 – 2359 daily) Journey booking and planning function. Confirm eligibility and provide journey. Frequent attender car journeys Out of Area journeys Mental Health Car (outside of PTAS) ELIGIBLE Coordinate and book journey with accredited provider
