Types of Behaviour Foraging feeding = locate, obtaining EX: honey bee
Types of Behaviour Imprinting Imprinting (both innate & learned) occurs only during a critical time frame once learned, can’t be changed

Types of Behaviour Territorial protect a resource for exclusive use e.g. scenting / marking, birdsong, protection of mate / offspring, space, food or water source
Types of Behaviour Social work to create alliances, help the group e.g. grooming, babysitting, defense of musk ox young, play, play fight
Types of Behaviour Basking & Panting To keep body cool & warm
Basking Behavior in Shark and Crocodile
Panting by animals
Sand Bathing or Dusting Behaviour
Types of Behaviour Camouflage is an adaptation that allows animals to blend in with certain aspects of their environment. It gives chance of survival by hiding it from predators. Camouflage is also used by some predators as a tool for hunting.
Grooming (bonding, alliances, keeping clean)
Types of Behaviour Courtship attracting a mate e.g. courtship displays, bright feathers, songs, other vocalizations, head butting, fighting
Types of Behaviour Parental Care ensuring survival of young e.g. carrying, nursing, cuddling, holding young
