Scope of Project Reconstruction of underground utilities, including water Relocating electrical utility lines to rear of buildings Reconstruction of sidewalks and streets Relocating a small percentage of parking spaces off Main Street Parallel parking along the east side of Main Street Construction and installation of streetscape enhancements including Brick pavers in sidewalks New street name signs and poles New decorative street lighting with poles accommodating flags and banners Landscaping that includes new trees and shrubs

Project Vision Going from this To this

Construction Notes Plan to begin working on the east side of Main Street (McDonald’s side) Improvements should progress block by block upon completion Once the east side is complete, construction should begin on the west side Project note requirement “The Contractor shall maintain at least one access to businesses and residences during all phases of construction.” ALDOT has the authority to make changes to the construction sequence if they think it will benefit the project.
