Jaguar ecosystem By: Jack H

What is an ecosystem? An ecosystem is the area and life around an animal The Jaguars ecosystem is rainforests and wet lowlands. The animals that live near the Jaguar are Alligators, Deer, Tapirs, and Caimans The Jaguar lives near lakes and rivers, which contain their food. This is a picture of the Jaguars ecosystem.

What is a biome? A biome is a place made up of plants and animals The Jaguars biome is the Rainforest. They live near wetlands, rock cliffs, rivers, and lakes. Animals that live in the Jaguars biome are tigers, lions, panthers, tapirs, deer, and armadillos.

What does biotic and abiotic mean Biotic means living Abiotic means non-living Here are some of the biotic and abiotic things living near the Jaguars ecosystem Some biotic things living near a Jaguar are Deer, crocodiles, peccaries, and armadillos. Some abiotic things around a Jaguars ecosystem are rocks, leaves, dirt, and soil.

What non-living things help Jaguars live Water and food help them. Water helps them by making them less dehydrated. Water serves as their bodies transportation system. When there are dehydrated things in there body can’t move around that much and that’s why they feel sick when they're dehydrated. Food helps their bodies by giving them protein and sugars they need. These things help Jaguars by giving them power, protein, and vitamins.

Comparing and contrasting two different animals ecosystems A Jaguars ecosystem is rainy and in a rainforest with different animals and plants such as Poison Ivy and Deer. A polar bears ecosystem is snowy and cold with icebergs and penguins and killer whales. Compare these two ecosystems, they look different don’t they.

Organisms that interact and depend on each other These are some organisms that interact with Jaguars Deer (prey). Deer interact with jaguars by being their prey. Humans (Hunter). Humans Interact with them by hunting them because they go into their farms and kill the livestock such as cows, and sheep. Crocodile (between predator and prey). Crocodiles are the prey if the Jaguar attacks at the right angle. But when a Jaguar comes at a wrong angle all of the sudden the crocodile is the predator. Jaguars have no actual predators only some animals that can defend themselves and kill other animals.
