Key Players and Goals Collaboration with Atlanta CareerRise and the Atlanta Regional Workforce Development Board Part of a larger initiative to promote economic growth in Atlanta’s Southern Crescent region by building a more educated workforce that can compete for in- demand, higher paying 21st Century jobs Goals of the Logistics Training Academy include: Simultaneously serve local businesses and individuals with barriers to work Establish a pipeline of skilled supply chain management, logistics, and distribution professionals to address the workforce needs of employers in the Metro Atlanta area
Logistics Training Academy - Outcomes 32 students secured CLA credentials and 30 secured CLT credentials. 20 program graduates secured jobs in the logistics industry within 6 months of graduating from the academy; they work for community employers including Home Depot, UPS, Staples, FedEx, and Americold.
Graduation Ceremonies At the end of each academy, BDI and CareerRise staff, community employers, and family/friends gathered to celebrate the graduates’ accomplishments.
