Multilateral Comenius Partnership TAKE THE GREEN WAY ON TWO WHEELS Multilateral Comenius Partnership 2012-1-HU1-COM06-06886-8

SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY Today sustainable mobility is a fundamental problem in the our daily life. Here are several solutions: Local Public Transport; Priority Lanes; Cycling Lanes; Municipal fee; Traffic Interruption; Car sharing or car pooling; Mobility Manager; Car Pricing;

LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT This is a first form of sustainable mobility. Many vehicles are qualified as public trasport. This vehicles are: Bus; Tram; Tube; Thanks to these forms of public trasport we can decline smog in the cities and acoustic pollution.

PRIORITY LANES There are lanes authorized just for public Trasport (bus, taxi, ambulance).

CYCLING LANES The cycling lanes are roads used exclusively for bikes. They are situated on the sides of the road.

MUNICIPAL FEE Drivers that use private cars in cities must pay a municipal fee. These measures have already been adopted in many Italian cities, like Milan, and are used for protection of old city historical centers and also for the reduction of CO2 emissions in the cities.

TRAFFIC BLOCK Traffic blocks are emergency measures and can be partial or total. In case of repeated blocks , vehicles allowed to circulate have alternate plates (even or odd) or are divided by tipology (Euro0, Euro1, Euro2, Euro 3, Euro 4).

CAR SHARING AND CAR POOLING These services are based on the principle of private cars for collective use. In the case of Car Sharing a car is rented for a few hours from the working company. In the case of Car Pooling the car is owned by a private worker and shared with his colleagues .

MOBILITY MANAGER The mobility manager is a professional with the task of analyzing the mobility requirements of employees of public and private companies. For example they match working hours with the availability of public transport or promote car sharing or car pooling in their companies.

PARK PRICING Consists in the payment of parking in urban areas, so as to encourage drivers to use public transport in city centres.
