The “Healthy Moves” Initiative City of Brownsville The “Healthy Moves” Initiative The overall goal for the “Healthy Moves” initiative is to bring services to Brownsville by forming a unified coordinated care system; focused on population health transformation and disease crisis prevention that will result in improved health rating outcomes.

City of Brownsville Since implementing the “Healthy Moves” project, there have been several community-wide activities that have taken place with the City Mayor of Brownsville. Many of these events were held in at-risk, low income and impoverished areas. This initiative has attracted a population of residents who normally would not have participated in physical activities and received free basic but essential health screenings.
