Mountain dew: prohibition in America

Bellringer The United States government just made it illegal to manufacture, sell, or transport soft drinks. How do you feel? Do you agree or disagree? Why or why not? What is something positive that could come from this law? What is something negative that could come from this law?

The fast and the furious This image depicts a car that was totaled by a bootlegger. The bootlegger was killed in the crash and all the liquor was confiscated. While many associate Prohibition with gangsters and Al Capone, this era also gave birth to the sport of NASCAR. Remains of a borrowed Stutz touring car after running into a tree at seventy miles an hour, in which the bootlegger driver was killed and fifty gallons of corn liquor was destroyed and confiscated
