A lot of electromagnetic radiation types Ionizing radiation, such us X-rays and gamma rays, have enough energy to break molecules  damage DNA and cause mutations Radio and TV signals, AC mains wiring, the motors in home appliances generate non-ionizing electromagnetic radiation.

Research on this subject is difficult because many other subjective responses may be involved, apart from direct effects of fields themselves.
