Ankylosaurus

The Ankylosaurus lived for 1. 3 million years from 66 The Ankylosaurus lived for 1.3 million years from 66.8 million years ago to 65.5 million years ago. They lived around western America and Canada. The largest ever Ankylosaurus found was over 6 meters long and 5 meters wide!

What did they eat? Even though the Ankylosaurus looked very scary it had no teeth and was a herbivore. So this means that they ate nothing but plants.

Fun Facts! Did you know that Ankylosaurus means ‘fused lizard’? They weigh double the amount of rhinoceros! They used their spikes to defend themselves from other carnivores that tried to eat them.

Titanosaurus

They lived for 18 million years from 83 million years ago to 65 million years ago. These dinosaurs have been found all over the world except from Northern America and Antarctica. They can grow up to 12 meters long.

What did they eat? They are herbivores which means that they didn’t eat any meat and only ate plants. They mainly ate fern and leaves.

Fun Facts Did you know that Titanosaurus means ‘titanic lizard’? There are more than 50 different species of the Titanosaurus. Their natural enemy is an Abelisaurus.

Plesiosaur

They are not actually dinosaurs they are saupterygians . There is a past rumour that they used their flippers to attack land animals . There is no evidence of the plesiosaur defencing themselves.

What did they eat? The plesiosaur ate fish , molluscs and small sea creatures. This means that they were carnivores.

FUN FACTS They were also known as bottom feeders as they would eat loose coral and sea snails that were on the sea floor.
