Attendance Matters

Attendance Excused absences must be accompanied by a parent signed explanation of the absent Students are considered tardy if they arrive on campus after 8:25am. If a students is out for 3 consecutive days, it is the responsibility of the teacher to call home to seek out additional information. Prearranged Absences 1. Any parent wishing to take their child out of school for consecutive days (5 days maximum), must request a prearranged absence form from the front office. 2. This form should be returned to the front office for the principal’s signature. 3. The classroom teacher will provide makeup work. Excessive Absences: The guidance department will set up an attendance meeting for those students demonstrating a pattern of non- attendance. Withdrawals: Students are not officially withdrawn until you have received notification from the office.
