What is the scheduling process for incoming freshmen?
As an 8th grader, you’ll… Watch a scheduling Power Point in Core +. Meet with CHS counselors in computer labs. Meet individually with a CHS Freshmen Counselor to finalize course requests.

Open Window for On-line Scheduling The online scheduling window is currently open until the day the CHS counselors meet individually with the students. Carmel- January 24 Clay- January 31 Creekside- February 7
How do I change my schedule after meeting with the Counselor? A parent should e-mail the freshman counselor for any elective changes or questions about the course requests. Schedule change requests need to be made by March 1st. Requests for changes made between March 1st and May 1st will be honored only if seats are still available in a class.

Greyhound Kick-off Friday, August 11 9:30-2:30 The first day of school is Tuesday, August 15th This is a wonderful opportunity for the students to become familiar with the Freshmen Center and CHS prior to that first day of school. These forms will be mailed to you in June. Return only the bottom part with your check. Keep the top part for your records to help you remember if you registered.
In summary… If you have questions, contact your assigned high school counselor. You have until March 1st to finalize the decision. The CHS Counselors will take care of you!
