Once finished, turn in your answer sheet and work on the ODW prompt below. Write your ODW on a blank piece of notebook paper. Turn in when finished. Then, read quietly. Your class is studying American holidays when a new student from another country joins the class. The new student speaks English, but knows very little about the culture. To help the new student, the teacher asks the class to create a notebook with articles about celebrations in the United States. Write an article for the new student’s notebook about three holidays of your choosing. Include information about why the holiday is celebrated, how the holiday is celebrate (traditions), etc.
