Every two years, the Donate Life Transplant Games of America brings together organ, eye, tissue and bone marrow recipients; living donors; donor families; and donation and transplant professionals to celebrate the success of transplantation; honor the lasting legacy of donors; provide hope to those who continue to wait; and promote donor registration.

Joined the planning committee in 2014 Team Louisiana Louisiana didn’t have a team in the games for many years and LOPA had never been directly involved with the teams Joined the planning committee in 2014 2 LOPA staff went to document stories & cheer team on One staff member back home making sure posts were scheduled & monitored

Already had a Canon Rebel T3i & tripod Equipment Already had a Canon Rebel T3i & tripod Purchased a boom mic, portable light, extra batteries and a small portable mixer Laptop to download and edit Personal camera for pictures

Secret Weapon - Troy Troy is in our IT department, but is a jack of all trades and very creative.

5 other videos including a thank you Results/Benefits We created 8 individual athlete videos, 2 with their donor families and one of a living donor couple 5 other videos including a thank you Most popular was Jamie’s – Facebook data: 119,744 post reach 217,865 impressions 2,576 likes and 566 shares

Results/Benefits July registry numbers increased 8.06% from the prior year Connected with athletes in a very meaningful way and many became active volunteers Strengthened relationships with our transplant center partners Use videos in various education settings Sponsors felt personally connected to TGA and committed to give again July 2013 – 73,223 July 2014 – 79,128 No new campaign going on at that time
