Erasmus started in 1987 as a student mobility programme Erasmus started in 1987 as a student mobility programme. This platform for European and international mobility and cooperation brings people from different backgrounds together. It provides them with the competences needed to lead independent, fulfilling lives and helps them find their place in our societies and develop a sense of a European identity. In 2014 many programmes were combined into one: Erasmus+. 2017 will be a year of celebrating all the things Erasmus+ has achieved so far, but also a year to reflect on the future Europe we can build together! We joined the celebration on January 26 with our Day of languages because it is important to learn as many languages as we can if we want to be real citizens of Europe.

Osnovna škola Bartola Kašića has been doing international projects for 10 years. We were partners in Comenius mulitilateral project WET, Water Europe’s Treasure and Erasmus+ project Young Citizens of Europe – Our Future. Now we are taking part in Erasmus + project Young Enterprising Europeans with schools from Greece, Italy, Poland and Slovenia. Students prepared a performance for all students, teachers and parents: songs, poems, rap music in English and German.
