Planning Full planning permission was granted on 6th November 15/00031/CCDFUL 19 Planning Conditions to be discharged e.g. drainage, landscaping, materials, community use Some conditions are pre-commencement e.g. construction management plan, archaeology, ecology Building Regulations approval has been granted

Site update Demolition and clearance as a separate contract: removes risk for main contractor Removal of excavated material off-site Separate planning permission granted (15/00041/CCDDEM) Completion scheduled: 11 December 2015

Previous tender process Bids received via Framework Limited response: timing? Significantly over budget (£1m+) Savings not forthcoming Value for money not demonstrated

New procurement process Re-tendered on the open market Removed risk items and updated tender package; not changed specification Closing date for bids was 5th November Bids being evaluated: legal parameters and commercial sensitivity Technical checks and clarifications

Construction Timetable Next 10 days: Contract award & initial meeting with contractor December: pre-start meeting & contractor mobilisation January 2016: start on site; major groundworks 44 week build programme End of 2016: practical completion & handover Spring 2017: available for occupation

Moving in to the new premises Phased move across or one start date? Staff familiarisation & training NCC assistance with packing and moving Site security and operation; insurance Legal transfer to Trust Have a clear out!
