Facts About Diplomas Please keep in mind that the state of Alabama only recognizes one diploma. That diploma is the standard diploma. The standard diploma is flexible enough to go to work or college. The college prep diploma is only recognized in this county. Colleges NEVER see the dipoma. They only see the transcript.

Colleges Look For… 1. ACT Score 2 . Grade Point Average (GPA) 3. Transcript

Standard Diploma English (4) Regular, Pre-AP Math (4)- Algebra 1 regular or Algebra 1 honors, Geometry reg or Geometry honors, Algebra II with trigonometry or algebra with finance, one additional math course, such as Algebraic Connections Social Studies (4) Science – 4 – Biology and Physcial Science must be included Health – ½ PE – 1 CTE, Foreigh Language or Fine Arts – 3 in this category Career Preparedness Electives 2.5 24 credits!!
