GRMS Testing ScheDule Information 2017

Details: Testing will be by grade level with EOC courses (Civics, Algebra, Geometry, and Biology) tested at the end of the testing window.  This is done to minimize instructional disruption as much as possible. EOC test scores are counted as 30% of the course grade.  So these courses are given additional consideration during the testing window placement. FSA Writes for all grade levels will occur the week of February 27 - March 3rd.  All other FSA/FCAT testing will begin on April 17th.

FSA Writes FSA Writes will be the first state exam for our GRMS students. Sixth and seventh grade will test on February 28th. This will be a paper pencil test. FSA Writes for eighth grade will be March 2nd and is a computer based assessment. The makeup window closes on March 3rd.

April The remainder of State testing will begin on April 17th. 6th Grade testing will be April 17- April 20th. 7th grade testing begins April 21 and will continue into May ending with the Civics EOC. 8th grade testing begins April 27th and will continue into May ending with the Algebra, Geometry & Biology EOCs.

May May will finish up our 8th grade testing and also include EOC testing for 7th graders as well. All 7th grade students will take the Civics EOC assessment. 7th and 8th graders enrolled in a Geometry or Algebra course will take that EOC in lieu of their grade level math assessment.

It is important for students to be here on testing dates! The GRMS testing calendar is posted on our school website!

We ask that parent make all possible efforts to ensure students are present for the scheduled testing dates.  Makeup assessments cause students to miss additional instructional time and we would like to avoid that happening as much as possible. Please take note of these dates and plan appointments around them.

Proctoring Needs during State Testing GRMS 2017

We are in need of proctors for every day of testing We are in need of proctors for every day of testing.  We have a minimum of 13 groups of students testing each day and need proctors for each group. In an effort to simplify testing we test every day of testing in two sessions: 8:00 and 11:00.   This helps our community supporters to plan for our proctoring needs during the testing dates.  We welcome parents, grandparents, neighbors, and your friends that are able to help. Proctors must be a cleared volunteer.  To become a cleared volunteer you must complete the School Access Form found under Parent Information on the left hand column of our school website!

Dates February 28th - We are testing two grade levels for FSA Writes so we need more proctors than usual. March 3rd - FSA Writes April 17-April 28th we need proctors every day. May 1-12 we will also need proctors every day
