Senior Project Presentation Template Use this template as an optional guide on how to set up your presentation. You can have as many slides as you need. You will want to be professional ( no crazy transitions or clip art that does not match topic). Be sure to not have too much information on one slide ( follow 7X7 rule). Presentation Day: March 17, 2017

Overview of Presentation Provide an agenda of what you will discuss

Part 1 The Four-Year Journey (3-6 minutes) This is a transition slide. The next few slides break down the time and provide suggestions on what you will discuuss.

Academic Growth (1-2 minutes) In the “Academic Growth” section of the presentation, students should use their transcript to highlight growth. This does NOT mean that they need to show their transcript. In addition, students can give any other examples of academic growth that have occurred in their four years of high school to satisfy this requirement. This can be broken into several slides and pictures should be shown.

Personal Growth (1-2 minutes) In the “Personal Growth” section of the presentation, students should highlight after school and/or community-based activities in which they have been involved. Examples should be specific. Students should include why they chose to participate in these activities and how they have grown from these experiences. They can include ANY area of personal growth, it does NOT have to be limited to after school or community-based activities. This can be broken into several slides and pictures should be shown.

Connection to Future (1-2 minutes) Students share how Appoquinimink School District has prepared them for their future. They should consider, given the opportunity to experience their high school years over, what would they have done differently? Identify how their academic and personal growth can be successfully applied to their post high school plans. This can be broken into several slides and pictures should be shown.

Part 2 Introduction to Research (1-2) minutes Students will introduce their research project by describing why they chose this topic, and why it was important to them.

Part 3 Body of Presentation Discuss Research Facts ( 3 -5 min) The body should focus upon the research paper facts of the Senior Project. This should be several slides with pictures/diagrams.

Your Project Discuss your service project, creative project, or research paper (students who selected this as project). This is where you will show your 50 hours of documentation. This section can be broken into several slides with pictures from your experience.

Part 4 Conclusion (1-2 minutes) Students will summarize what they have learned and comment about the worth of the project and the value of the Senior Project requirement.

Be prepared to answer questions from your panel.
