Presenter Tablet Guide

Displaying messages for presenters There are 2 ways in which you can display messages to your presenters using Meetoo: Log into the control dashboard via the web browser on a tablet device and allow the presenter to moderate the messages/questions themselves. Setup a ‘comfort monitor’ for your presenter and use the display projector function to show them the messages.

Displaying the control dashboard

Control dashboard on tablets Log into your Meetoo dashboard on your tablet browser to display the control dashboard view for presenters TIP: By pressing the button, you can increase screen real estate for a presenter by minimising the control buttons for Polls and Data (reports)

Displaying the projector

What is the projector? The projector gives you the option to show only messages to the presenter. It is a simply a way to view all messages, like a ‘comfort monitor’. You can display the ‘Need Review’ tab for unmoderated and live messages. Alternatively, you can display the ‘Reviewed’ or ‘Published’ tabs with moderated messages.

Launching the projector To launch a projector of a particular message view you just tap on to the right of the Moderation control. Then select the message view you require. The projector will open in a new tab on your tablet browser.

iPad Tips & Tricks

TIP #1: Disable Auto-Lock To stop the display going into stand-by set the ‘Auto-lock’ setting to ‘Never’ You can do this by going into Settings > ‘Display & Brightness’. If you are using an iPad Cover make sure to toggle the ‘Lock/unlock’ button to off. An iPad battery will last between 5-8 hours. We recommend having a fully charged backup tablet or charging the tablet during breaks.

TIP #2: Disable push notifications The last thing you want the speaker to see is a push notification from Candy Crush or your email account! To disable push notifications go to: Settings > Notifications Select the apps and toggle off’ ‘Allow Notifications’.

TIP #3: Using Guided Access Guided Access limits the speaker to projector or dashboard only, preventing them from switching to another app or returning to the Home screen. To turn Guided Access on go into: Setting > General > Accessibility > Guided Access (under the Learning section) Toggle ‘Guided Access’ to on. Toggle ‘Accessibility Shortcut’ to on, which allows you to triple-click the Home button and enter Guided Access at any time.

TIP #3: Using Guided Access Tap on ‘Passcode Settings’ then ‘Set Guided Access Passcode’ Set your passcode. Make sure you remember it! The passcode will be used to enable and disable Guided Access.

TIP #3: Using Guided Access Launch the web browser with the Meetoo dashboard or projector open. Triple click the ‘Home button’ to launch Guided Access. Tap on Options in the bottom left corner (under hardware button) to choose whether or not you want to grant access to the Sleep/Wake button, Volume buttons, touch screen, and motion. Make sure ‘Touch’ is toggled on and ‘Time Limit’ to off.

TIP #3: Using Guided Access Circle any areas of the screen that you would like to make inaccessible. We recommend the following in blue to circle:

TIP #3: Using Guided Access Tap on Start at the top of the screen to begin Guided Access. Once Guided Access is enabled, anyone trying to leave the specific app you've locked it to will receive a banner message telling them to triple-click the Home button to exit. If they don't know the pre-set passcode, they won't be able to exit Guided Access.
