Nouns -100 True or False: The definition of a noun is a person, place, or book? False!!!!!! A noun is a person, place or (ANY) thing!!

Nouns -200 The following sentence has how many nouns: “The boy went to the Corner Store to get some fruit.” 3!!! boy, Corner Store, fruit

Nouns -300 False!!! True or False: The word door is a feminine noun. It’s not masculine or feminine, it’s neuter.

Nouns -400 What’s wrong with the noun in this sentence: After eating mc donalds we left school. McDonalds It’s a proper noun, the name of a restaurant. It should be capitalized.

Pronouns -100 False!!! True or False: A pronoun replaces an adjective. A pronoun replaces a noun.

Pronouns -200 “They” Replace the words in parenthesis with a pronoun: (Jalen and Anna) _______ are running late. “They” “They” is a plural pronoun.

Prepositions -200 Identify the preposition in the following sentence: Sharon is leaning against the wall. “Against” It links the Proper noun (Sharon), and her action, with the rest of the sentence (the wall).

Prepositions -300 How many prepositions are in the following sentence: The dog is hiding under the porch because it knows it will be punished for chewing up a new pair of shoes. Three: “under,” “for,” and “of”

Prepositions -400 Use the following prepositions to create a sentence: “before” and “of” Example: Before I go to school in the morning I like to have a glass of milk.

Conjunctions -100 Complete the sentence with the proper conjunction: Lady Gaga is a good singer, ______ Beyonce is better. “but”

Interjections -200 True or False: An interjection only conveys feelings of pain or sadness. False!!! An interjection is any word used to convey emotion on a sentence, positive or negative.

Interjections -300 Identify the interjection in the following phrase: “That’s my favorite movie too. Cool!!” “Cool!!” This word is added to convey a sense of enthusiasm.

Interjections -400 Construct a sentence using an interjection. Yes!! --No!!-- Darn!!-- Wow!!-- Whoa!!—Yay!! Etc…
