Pre-IMELF Probing Questions International Medical Education Leaders Forum (IMELF) Steering Committee Date: August, 2016

IMELF Pre-Meeting Work Objectives: To begin dialogue, discussion and critical thinking around topics of the meeting. To facilitate sharing of issues and begin networking in the geographic region. To share issues from the region to actively participate and contribute to table discussions and recommendations during the IMELF meeting. To seek thoughts on the future strategic direction for our IMELF meetings.

Question 1 How is social accountability, public health, and global health taught in the region? How are objectives measured? .

Question 2 What innovations are enabling 21st century learning – physical/architectural or electronic?

Question 3 How are you enabling interprofessional education (IPE)?

Question 4 Do you involve healthcare “industries” and/or “non-healthcare sector” corporations in your education? What are the opportunities & threats?

What do you consider are the 3 major challenges facing IMELF as a leadership forum to encourage collaboration across our organizations to improve medical education & the quality of healthcare in our respective regions?
