Graduation Requirements Earn 23 credits Assessments 4.0 – English 4.0 – Math 3.0 – Science 3.0 – Social Studies 1.0 – Phys. Educ. 0.5 – Health 1.0 – Fine Arts or CTE 6.5 – Electives Pass the Civics Test (60%) Do your best on the AzMERIT End of Course Assessment English 9 English 10 English 11 Algebra 1 Geometry Algebra II

Grade Point Average (GPA) Standard Curriculum I.B. Curriculum (Jr/Sr) A = 4 points B = 3 points C = 2 points D = 1 point F = 0 points A = 5 points B = 4 points C = 3 points D = 2 points F = 0 points

What is a credit anyway? Students earn a half credit (0.5) for every semester they pass a class with a grade of D or above. F’s and I’s do not count!

Tips for Parents (on your handout) Call the Attendance Office to excuse absences. If your child will be absent for an extended period of time, you may request homework packets by contacting your child’s counselor at least 3 days in advance. Email is a great way to keep in contact with teachers 

More tips Finals Week The last week of every semester in December & May Please make sure your child attends and takes final exams. Finals exams are key to passing the semester!
