Agenda Background Workshop Format Introduction of Expert Panel Introduction of Invited Presenters

Background USEF leadership has not made a decision regarding the use of Depo- Provera® In conversations with our membership, it became clear that a robust conversation regarding the science and use Depo-Provera® was necessary Hear the questions and get the answers: What is the science behind the medication? Why do people think it is controlling hormone swings that help make horses more manageable? What is the timing mechanism and how does it work? Is it a calming agent similar to a tranquilizer that is being used as a training substitute? Or, does it keep a normal baseline for a horse to function, and is that acceptable?
