Why I chose the '90s I chose to do the 1990’s This decade will feature the World Series’ from each decade and information about them I chose to do this because I love baseball and thought it would be interesting to be able to research the various World Series’.

1990

1990 Cincinnati Reds .vs. Oakland Athletics This was Oakland’s third straight Series. The Reds swept the series in four games. Jose Rijo of the Reds won the World Series MVP after winning Game 1 and Game 4

1991

1991 Minnesota Twins .vs. Atlanta Braves Minnesota won the Series in an exciting 7 games Jack Morris won the Series MVP after going 2-0 in the Series and pitching 10 innings to win Game 7 Three of these games went into extra innings

1992

1992 Toronto Blue Jays .vs. Atlanta Braves This was the first World Series to be played in Canada Toronto won the Series in six games Pat Borders was awarded the World Series MVP Every game except for one was decided by two runs or less

1999 New York Yankees .vs. Atlanta Braves The Yankees swept the Braves 4-0 for their 2nd straight World Series sweep This was the Braves 4th Series of the decade and the Yankees’ 3rd. Mariano Rivera won the Series MVP
