New Pre-Registration and Courses New Opportunities at PPHS

New Procedures for Pre-Registration Most students and Parents filled out a Graduation Plan These Courses Carry Over from year to year You will receive: Purple form for classes, endorsements, you list alternates and get signatures Schedule change request form Copy of your graduation plan No more AP/Pre-AP form, Dual Credit form, Graduation Plan form (View rules online and sign that understand). Given out during this week and due back before Spring Break for seniors/after Spring Break for Juniors

HVAC is an abbreviation for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. Someone who works in this occupation may specialize in installation or in maintenance and repair and in either heating, air conditioning or refrigeration work. The job outlook for HVAC technicians is excellent. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts this occupation will grow faster than the average for all occupations through 2022. An HVAC Service Technician in the Dallas area earns an average wage of $22.00 per hour.

Industrial Mechanics identify malfunctioning or broken parts and replaces them. Industrial mechanics test equipment to ensure machinery operates properly. Average Salary of Industrial Mechanic in Texas: $20.75 per hour Electrical Technicians create, maintain, and repair electronic equipment. Electrical Technicians work with electricians or electrical engineers. Average Salary of Electrical Technician: $26.94 per hour

Industrial Technology Course Information Courses will be held in the afternoon (looking at a 12:30-2:10 time) on the NCTC Gainesville Campus Industrial Technology courses have industry recognized stackable credentials students can earn through successful completion Occupational Skills Achievement Award (formerly Marketable Skills Achievement Award): Earned after completion of first 12-14 credit hours Level 1 Certificate: Earned after completion of 30-33 credit hours Associate of Applied Science (AAS): earned after 60 credit hours Pathway to BAAS: Transferability to several Texas Universities’ BAAS programs Typically a high school student will earn an Occupational Skills Achievement Award and some courses toward a Level 1 while in high School.
