How it relates to Hamlet? This presentation is based off Hamlet due to youth violence; Hamlet has murder and fighting and it involves: youth, adults, and elderly. Hamlet, Claudius (the king of Denmark and Hamlet’s Uncle), Gertrude (the queen of Denmark and Hamlet’s Mother), and Laertes ( Determined to kill Hamlet for “causing his sister to go crazy” and the death of his father) all caused violence in the story, and eventually led to everyone’s death

Statistics Over 1.6 million deaths worldwide are caused by violence each year. The U.S. has 10 times more youth violence then other leading industrialized countries. 25% of women have experienced domestic violence and 6 million children witness domestic violence annually, and approximately 1.3 million women and 835,000 men are physically assaulted by an intimate partner in the U.S. yearly.

Reasons of Violence - Peer-Pressure? Students fall in pressure everyday due to environment and influences they are around. - Self-Improvement? Youth with social anxiety or just unwariness of there inner potential, which could even lead back to peer pressure. - Broken relationships? Partners argue, and could potentially cause violence, and if children are involved causes a bad influence. - More examples of causes are as followed: Alcohol consumption, violence in media, overcrowding, and or even be as simple of being disrespected.
