Albert Schweitzer Elementary School PTO 2017-2018 Thank you for your support! We can’t do it without you! Please fill out the Membership Form and return it to school with your payment of cash or check (made payable to Albert Schweitzer PTO) by September 25th. The class with the most participation will win a treat from the PTO.  Sincerely,  ASPTO Board 2017-2018 – Bill, Nicole, Shannon, Jessica, Al and Susan Elementary School PTO 2017-2018 The Albert Schweitzer PTO Board would like to welcome you. We have many activities and events planned for this year and are hoping that most of you will be able to attend and enjoy as well. The PTO is set up to help our students and school achieve some of their goals, which will be described in this pamphlet. Our current board members, positions, and emails are as follows:   Bill Razcynski, President – billaspto@gmail.com Nicole Bray, Vice President – niki1680@comcast.net Shannon Little, Secretary – shannonllittle@hotmail.com Jessica Walther, Secretary – fortwalt@gmail.com Al Loadwick, Treasurer – alaspto@gmail.com Susan Razcynski, Parlimentarian, susanrazzaspto@gmail.com

Friday Fun/Dress-up Days Memberships The cost per family is $10.00. The membership helps fund field trips, family events and other activities for the students, the $10.00 fee also gives the parents/guardians the opportunity to be selected as a field trip chaperone – although not guaranteed, receive PTO updates by email, run for a PTO Board position next year and most importantly makes the school a better place.  Here are a few PTO sponsored events that are planned: Monster Mash, Sweetheart Dance, Family Bingo, Tech Trot, and Class Trips. We also have a few major fundraisers to help support these activities like Yankee Candle, Joe Corbi Pizza, Holiday Shoppe, Spirit Wear, and School Store. Friday Fun/Dress-up Days Throughout the year we will run days where your kids can get creative and express their creativity. These days include Crazy Hair Day, Pajama Day, Super Hero Day, and Color Wars Day. When we run these, some will be just for FUN and others we will ask for an optional donation in which we give back to the community like Women’s Humane Society, Local Food Pantries, American Cancer Society, and a Coat Drive for needy students in our school. Dine Out/Activity Nights Usually, once a month we will have nights at local restaurants where all you have to do is tell them you are with our school and the school will get credit for the sale. These are great nights to not dirty your pots and pans, mingle with school friends, and earn money for the school all at the same time. Some places that we go are Chic-fil-A, California Tortilla, and ChuckECheese. Volunteering We are always looking for volunteers to help run the programs smoothly and efficiently. Without help from our parents/guardians, most of our functions will not be successful. Throughout the year we will ask for your help and remember that not everything has to be done in school. We may have some tasks that can be done at home while you have a few minutes. Most events, we will use the Sign Up Genius to work out schedules or donations of materials, bottles of water, or food products. Make sure to turn your background checks into the office to volunteer. Free Money Activities We have a few other FREE MONEY activities set up that are ongoing all year. We do offer prizes for some of these activities as well. We are set up with Box Tops for Education, Shoprite (automatic Box Top program), Redner’s Save-a-Tape program, Giant Food Stores, and a Fall Clothing Drive. You have to register your food store memberships and choose our school to get proper credits and Redners you have to turn your receipts in to school for credits.
