Eagles in action A Student Volunteering Program at Peter Kirk Elementary School

What is Eagles in action? A program to encourage students to volunteer in school and in the community. Definition of volunteering: doing something for others or your community without expecting anything in return (except feeling great about yourself!)

Why participate in Eagles in action? Feels good to give back Help others Help the community School-wide recognition at the end-of-school assembly for your effort Earn Eagle Prizes for your hours earned: 10 Hours= A Stuffed Eagle 25 Hours= Bronze Eagle Pin 40 Hours= Silver Eagle Pin 50 Hours= Gold Pin

How can I participate? Talk to your parents or teacher about volunteer ideas. Volunteer! Track hours by submitting on the Peter Kirk PTSA website (http://peterkirkptsa.org/volunteer/eaglesinaction) – OR - Complete a paper form (found in the office) Volunteer hours are for tasks performed without pay (unless proceeds are given to charity). All volunteer hours must be verified by adults. Wait until you have a full hour before submitting hours. 4. Repeat again and again!
