Reading-Star Reader and Accelerated Reader Star reader test 3 times a year – gives them Z.P.D. Children will receive a levelled Z.P.D. book Take quizzes once finished a book – chance to move if they achieve over 85% Children will choose books from library Children will be heard by teachers individually and in guided reading sessions Reading at home: take the children to the library, real reading, newspapers etc, reading records Read daily and complete Home Reading Record.

Writing During our literacy lessons we are focusing on sentence structure and punctuation. You can help by: writing for a purpose: birthday cards, party invites, letters etc Cursive handwriting
