Documents Tab From the Documents tab, users can access their Reports folder, Inbox, and Public Folders. Click The “My Documents” drawer houses all of your Reports. Your Inbox is also located here. Click The “Folders” drawer houses the Public Folders, which contains the Standard Reports.

Exercise 1 Sign into the Reporting Tool https://icisairtest.epa.gov/icis/ Change your View and Modify preferences for Web Intelligence to Applet Read along in the scenario on page 3 of your Exercise Guide Individually complete the exercise by locating and running the appropriate Report using the Reporting Tool You will have 15 minutes to complete the exercise; please select the Green ‘Agree’ Check Mark when you are done
Exercise Wrap-Up The Reporting Tool should be used in the Applet View/Modify setting Standard Reports are accessible via the Documents tab Standard Reports may have Prompts that you must enter values for before running the report Reports can be pinned to your task bar to be used in the future or can be accessed from the ‘My Recently Run Documents’ panel

Guidelines For Scheduling Reports Reports should be scheduled if user needs meet any of the following criteria: You anticipate that the Report will run for more than 5 minutes or will generate many pages The Report is complex, i.e., if the information is retrieved from various subject areas, or if the Report has complex formatting If you want the Report to run on a recurring basis If you wish to see updated data without having to wait for Reports to re-run (the Air Data Warehouse ETL does not run in real time)

Session 6: Reports Closing
Recap The Reporting Tool should be used in Applet mode Remaining idle for too long will cause the session to expire and the system will log out users (save early and save often!) Standard Reports are accessed via the Documents tab and Ad Hoc Reports are accessed via the Web Intelligence application Objects (indicated by the blue icon) mirror the field names in ICIS
Recap (Cont.) Ad Hoc Reports can be saved in your Favorites folders and Standard Reports can be pinned to your task bar Users can edit Reports and preview the data before re-running the query in the Data Preview Reports can be sent to ICIS and non-ICIS users
