Academic Poster Template Instructions: This template is used as a guide for completion of the academic poster and must be used in submittal. Each area (text box) where text is to be added can be adjusted in size (smaller or larger) to accommodate team information or additional text boxes can be added for longer sections. This template is required to be used to ensure proper sizing is used. The page set up CANNOT be changed. The following items can be edited: Color Background Text Color, size, style Boxes (Text and Picture): Can be added, removed, changed, etc. Prior to submittal teams are to: Remove/Delete Instruction Slide from document (Poster Slide should be the only slide) Remove page “empty space” by adjusting text boxes and deleting any unused boxes. Remove descriptions from slide. The only thing on the slide should be the team information. Save in Microsoft Powerpoint and Submit as a Powerpoint File. Document title should have School Name and Team Number (EXAMPLE: Mesa Middle School Team 2 Academic Poster) Teams are Encouraged to: Learn how to use Microsoft Powerpoint and specifically text box and picture box formatting. Organize poster in a way that all requirements are met. Organize poster in a creative and visually appealing way that is unique to each team. Use colors, fonts, backgrounds, pictures in a way that can be seen easily via a projected image and can be printed if needed. (EXAMPLE: Don’t use backgrounds that are too dark or font that blends with background).
