Consumerization is driving DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION The far right icon ’emerging delivery models’ should be adjusted – the desktop should be a self-service kiosk, just change it to a horizontal iPad and keep the visual within the desktop screen the same for the iPad (see pic attached of self-service kiosk) – we need to place a security icon motif badged to the iPad (you can pull the security icon from slide 9) … but more importantly, there needs to be a Cloud above the iPad with a dotted line connecting to it. Also remove the mouse and mouse map from this icon. I realize this is small real estate for this icon, but let’s see what we can squeeze in here. VMware Cloud Foundation with HPE Synergy: Tech Preview 12
HPE Synergy is now certified for VMware vSAN The first composable Infrastructure certified for vSAN HPE Synergy—A perfect choice for vSAN A core value prop of vSAN is that it aggregates all local storage disks—both SSD and HDD— available on the hosts (compute modules) into a single data store shared by all compute modules. With traditional rack servers, compute and storage do not generally scale independently, but with HPE Synergy, you can scale storage and compute separately. This makes it a perfect fit for vSAN solutions, allowing for storage capacity growth without requiring additional compute resources to host them. Key Benefits: Blog: https://blogs.vmware.com/virtualblocks/2017/05/04/hpe-synergy-first-composable-infrastructure-now-certified-vsan/ Disaggregated storage and compute High-Speed interconnect between frames Single infrastructure for any workload HPE Synergy with VMware vSAN provides the flexibility of thinly provisioning software-defined storage volumes, independent of compute resources. HPE Synergy provides a flat east-west Ethernet topology. This allows iSCSI storage to be shared on a low-latency server-to-server connection, including between HPE Synergy frames. HPE Synergy helps enterprises run vSAN in a single infrastructure, addressing the needs of both traditional and emerging business applications. See why HPE Synergy is a winning vSAN solution in the VMware blog vSAN configuration details for our supported Ready Nodes visit the VMware vSAN Compatibility Guide for HPE

Demo – Storage Composability
Synergy + Cloud Foundation Key Value Proposition Feature Benefit Synergy creates pools of resources – Compute, Network(Virtual Connect) and Storage in one platform Synergy integrates Oneview management into the composer and scales with additional frames Synergy reduces the number of firmware trains to one (instead of Compute, Network and Storage trains). VCF includes VCF Installation Appliance (VIA) to significantly ease installation of VM, networking and hyper-converged storage. VCF includes a SDDC manager to provision new services and maintain the codes base of the VMware components. VCF leverages your existing licenses. Synergy eliminates the need for Top Of Rack Switches(TOR). Save significant cost. Synergy management is resourced appropriately for the size of the deployment. Synergy reduces the complexity of upgrades. VCF is installed quickly and correctly resulting in better time to production and less errors(automated). VCF SDDC manager eliminates looking up compatibility of upgrades and automates the installation. Saves time and increases accuracy. VCF allows migration of licenses to reduce costs.
HPE Synergy Fabric simplifies the infrastructure Frame 1 Master Satellite LAN SAN Frame 2 Frame 3 Frame 4 Reduce hardware complexity and cost Consolidate interconnects and cables Maximize data throughput and minimize latency Only one hop and no oversubscription between VMs Simplify management Fewer devices to maintain Efficiently scale fabrics across multiple frames Up to 60 compute modules per fabric
VMware Cloud Foundation & HPE Synergy Consolidate traditional data center applications and private cloud onto a single composable infrastructure. DEPLOY Infrastructure Faster SIMPLIFY Lifecycle Operations INCREASE Productivity Reduce Cost Reduce hardware complexity and cost Consolidate interconnects and cables Eliminate TOR switches Simplify management Fewer devices to maintain Maximize data throughput and minimize latency Only one hop and no oversubscription between VMs Efficiently scale fabrics across multiple frames Up to 60 compute modules per fabric
