New Britain man charged with murder 12/31/2007 New Britain man charged with murder By: Jason Vallee, Record-Journal staff SOUTHINGTON - A 21-year-old male of New Britain faces charges of murder, felony murder, first-degree robbery, illegal possession of an assault rifle and weapons in a motor vehicle. He is being held on $2 million bond and will be arraigned in Bristol Superior Court at 9 a.m. Wednesday. Evidence and interrogation efforts revealed that this male had met and established a dating relationship with a Southington resident through the use of an unnamed online chat room and the two established a Christmas Eve meeting date.

STATE POLICE MAKE COMPUTER CRIMES ARRESTS February 6th 2013 Charges: Criminal attempt at Impairing the Morals of a Minor, in violation of CGS 53a-49/53-21 (two counts); Criminal attempt at Enticement of a Minor, in violation of C.G.S. 53a-49/53a-90a The State Police Computer Crimes Unit concluded an investigation of a 41-year old man who had used a fake profile on the Internet to arrange a meeting for sex with a perceived minor-aged girl. A search warrant was obtained for the search and seizure of electronic items at a residence to find additional evidence of this crime and other potential victims. The person admitted to using the internet to entice female minors and of using pictures of a friend to share with young girls.
