The Media of Art Drawing

Drawing is a learned process, a way of seeing and communicating, a way of paying attention Purposes of Drawing As a notation, sketch or record of something seen, remembered or imagined As a study or preparation for another, usually larger and more complex work As an end in itself, a complete work of art

Dry Media – pencil (graphite and colored pencils), charcoal, conte crayon, and pastel Liquid Media – black or colored inks (washes with brush and water, pens)
