Topic: Reproductive Options The issue: I wish there were a way for teens to access accurate info about their reproductive rights, to help them make meaning of their options... maybe even a program that supports/ encourages communication about intimacy with other people, like partners and friends? For whom? Teen girls... specifics TBD. Maybe in California, where state laws favor reproductive autonomy for teens.
Reproductive Options: Why? 1) I care about reproductive justice and sex positivity; 2) Research supports the idea that teens with access to accurate reproductive info are more likely to meet traditional milestones of success (high school graduation, etc.) than their peers who do not have access to this info: Guttmacher Institute: “New Studies Signal Dangers of Limiting Teen Access to Birth Control Information and Services” (2005) http://www.guttmacher.org/media/nr/2005/01/18/
