WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT SEX? BELLRINGER! WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT SEX? 2 SENTENCES. 5 MINUTES.

What is Sexual Motivation? Sexual Motivation is one of the most important aspects of humanity. Sexual motivation may have evolved to enable creatures to pass on their genes. It’s Nature's clever way of making people reproduce and enabling our species to survive

Sexual Response System Phycology of Sexual Activity 4 phases to orgasm and back. Both men & women experiences these phases. Sexual Response System Problems with desire and response Sexual Disorders Effects and role of testosterone Hormones and Sexual Behavior

The Sexual Response Cycle Excitement Plateau Orgasm Resolution

Heart rate quickens and breathing is accelerated Excitement Phase Characteristics of the excitement phase (can last from a few minutes to Several Hours). Heart rate quickens and breathing is accelerated Nipples become hardened or erect. Blood flow to the genitals , resulting in swelling of the woman's clitoris and inner lips, and erection of the man's penis. Vaginal lubrication begins.

Plateau Phase The changes begun in phase 1 are intensified. The vagina continues to swell from increased blood flow, and the vaginal walls turn a dark purple. The woman's clitoris becomes highly sensitive (may even be painful to touch) Muscle spasms may begin in the feet, face, and hands.

Orgasm Phase Blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing are at their highest rates, with a rapid intake of oxygen. Muscles in the feet spasm. A rash, or "sex flush" may appear over the entire body There is a sudden, forceful release of sexual tension.

Resolution During resolution, the body slowly returns to its normal level of functioning, and swelled and erect body parts return to their previous size and color. Some women are capable of a rapid return to the orgasm phase with further sexual stimulation and may experience multiple orgasms. Men need recovery time after orgasm,

Sex Hormones Sex hormones are responsible for some of the most dramatic changes that occur in the body. They control puberty, egg and sperm production, pregnancy, birth and lactation (breastfeeding). Hormones are chemical substances in the body. They are made by endocrine glands which pass the hormones directly into the bloodstream. They are carried around the body in the blood and, in this way, hormones can cause changes at some distance from the gland where they were made.

Children of teen parent have… Teenage Pregnancy In 2014, a total of 249,078 babies were born to women aged 15–19 years How to Prevent Teenage Pregnancy ? it is essential for adolescents who are sexually active to use effective contraceptives (such as condoms, birth control pills, the patch, the vaginal ring, the IUD, and injectable birth control methods) and to use them every time they have sex. Children of teen parent have… Poorer cognitive and educational outcomes, such as a lower likelihood of completing high school and lower test scores

More behavioral problems, including higher levels of fighting, delinquency, and early sexual experience; Poor health outcomes, such as a low birth weight

Is Sexual Assualt Sexually Motivated? Is it because the perpetrator wanted the desire to have power/ control over some one? OR Is it because they have a strong desire to have sexual intercourse and they cant fight it? WHAT DO YOU THINK?

One in five women and one in 71 men will be raped at some point in their lives 91% of the victims of rape and sexual assault are female, and 9% are male Health care is 16% higher for women who were sexually abused as children 34% of people who sexually abuse a child are family members.
