Who Am I? Cheryl Stiles – George Ranch High School Math Teacher Precal On-level and AQR (Advanced Quantitative Reasoning) This app is for all K-12 teachers (and beyond!)
Goal The goal for today is to introduce you to this awesome Explain Everything App and how it can be used to enhance your teaching and student learning in and out of your classroom.
Explain Everthing Code When it’s your turn to play, you will receive a code You can use this code for 3 months free After that time, you can either use the free app (simple nothing fancy) Or you can buy a subscription for around $25 per year (so worth it)
How Can You Use This In Your Classroom? Create lessons ahead of time Use them to flip your classroom (notes before classwork) Play the video for the students while you walk around the room (classroom management) … it’s like having another teacher with you in the room! Use for homebound or absent students
My Experiences and Snags If your students are going to be using their phones to watch your video, be sure to zoom in on any text that may be difficult to see on a small screen. If you don’t already have one, create a you-tube account to store your videos and lessons. Keep your lessons organized so you or your students can easily find them.
Accessibility Students can access the videos you create on you-tube or other embedded video medium Students can watch your lesson any time, anywhere they have wifi and an MLD No more excuses!

Ready to Play? Go to App Store and download the Explain Everything App 4.0.2 on your iPad (the code given is free for 3 months). Once you have downloaded your app, play the interactive tutorial and then have fun creating a small lesson of your own! In order to retake the tour, please go to the Home Screen - ☰ - Info - Interactive Tour. Share what you have created with your neighbor or the class.
