BED NUMBERS Bed numbers will increase from 68 currently to 113. (45 beds or 66% increase).
Of the 113 beds in the new hospital, 62 beds will be located in single rooms with own ensuite. Currently, there are only 4 single rooms in the hospital with ensuite. No single room in Maternity ward has an ensuite.

New Emergency Department The new ED Capacity will have 23 treatment areas including 6 short stay beds plus a secure room plus an isolation room. The Current ED has 7 treatment cubicles treating 16,000 patient presentations per annum.
