Starfish Update Support Academic Success After a successful pilot of Starfish and the Academic Progress Reports for athletes, first year students and veterans, the University is now embarking to fully launch this Fall 2016.
What is Starfish? A solution that enables advisors, faculty and others, including students themselves, to raise “flags” and share information. Central location to enter and view information and notes from multiple source A tool that supports early intervention. Assists in identifying students at risk (academically, financially or personally) in order to provide appropriate support. A notification system that allows for designated individuals and offices to be notified via email or text message once a kudo or concern is raised.
What will be available in the fall? In the Fall all advisors, faculty, staff, student-facing offices - and all of the students will have access to and be able to use Starfish. There will be various communication outreach and training provided to Faculty and Students.

No More Registration At this time users will no longer be required to register The PACE-OPEN process will not be used, it will be replaces with a simpler “one click” type connection approach.
No More PACE-OPEN PACE-OPEN is now called PACE-GUEST. This will ONLY be used for GUEST Access.
PACE-WIFI One Click Connection Must accept a certificate
New BETA Services: Non-WPA2 Enterprise Device Support We now support certain devices that do not support WPA2-ENT authentication.
Improved Coverage Over the next few months we will be working closely with our vendor to do more site surveys and to improve coverage areas.
